Lt. Col. Harold Edward Hawkins, USMC Ret., 89 of Manassas, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at his home surrounded by family.
He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and the Washington Redskins. He most cherished time spent with family.
Among his survivors are his wife of 69 years, Johnnie Mae Hawkins, his children Kathy Ryder (Donnie), Eddie Hawkins (John)Jennifer Richa (Hassib) and Lori Hawkins (Mike); his grandchildren Ben Ryder, Brad Ryder (Michelle) and Somer Robison (J.R.) and his great grandson Ryan Robison; his sisters, Sue Hawkins and Vicki Sholey and his beloved dog, Ally.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to Noon on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Pierce Funeral Home. A service will follow at Noon at the funeral home with interment at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
In. lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
