Woodbridge man sentenced to prison
A 22-year-old man from Woodbridge will serve three years in prison after he struck a Stafford sheriff’s deputy’s car while trying elude police.
Jonathan Edward Coleman, 22, was sentenced yesterday in Stafford County Circuit Court. There were additional charges against Coleman that in which he was acquitted.
Woman fraudulently bills Medicaid $1 million
A Woodbridge woman was convicted Friday of fraudulently billing Medicaid over $1 million. When sentenced on Dec. 2, she faces 10 years in prison.
Man suspected of trying to pawn stolen iPod, may be linked to other thefts, police say
It was a pawn shop that called police this week after someone brought in a iPod that had been reported stolen.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Garrisonville Road Pawn Shop on Va. 610 in North Stafford this week when the man tried to sell the iPod, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
Deputies determined the man with the iPod was the person who stole it and arrested him. The suspect lives on a street where several other larcenies were recently reported.
Jordan Young, of 5 Vista Woods Road in North Stafford is charge with petit larceny. He also has faces malicious wounding charges from an incident police say occurred last month.
