STAFFORD — Jordan Nicole Garrison, 21, of Stafford, died last Friday in what her obituary states was a “tragic car accident.”
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office closed a portion of White Oak Road in the area of Town and Country Drive for four hours on Friday, June 15. Deputies were investigating a fatal crash that took the life of a 21-year-old woman, authorities said.
The sheriff’s office won’t disclose the name of the victim “out of respect to the victim’s family,” states Stafford sheriff’s spokeswoman Amanda Vicinanzo in an email.
The victim was a passenger inside one of at least two vehicles involved in the crash that occurred about 5:30 p.m. The crash remains under investigation, adds Vicinanzo.
So far, investigators ruled out speed and alcohol as potential causes of the crash.
This is the second fatal crash that occurred in the county this year in which authorities have not released information on the victims or cause of the crash. A student at Mountain View High School was killed in March when the car the student was riding in collided with another.
While the Stafford sheriff’s office regularly notifies the press via about other incidents to include car crashes, pursuits, and marijuana busts, it did not send an email notification to press about this incident.
Garrison’s obituary states that she attended and graduated from Stafford High School in 2015. She worked as a hostess at Cowboy Jacks restaurant in Fredericksburg and was an active member of Ramoth Baptist Church.
She is survived by her parents and four siblings. A service was planned for Garrison at at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, at Ramoth Baptist Church in Stafford.
