Ernst Biendl

Ernst Reinhard Biendl, 71, of Bristow, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at his home in Bristow, Virginia.

Born in Germany on August 15, 1946, he was the son of the late Josef and Hedwig Schmid Biendl. On June 15, 1968, in Canterbury, England, he married his wife, the former Barbara Cook.

Ernst worked for 49 years as a Tool & Die Maker for the former Hoppmann Corporation in Culpeper and Chantilly. He played soccer for the British Embassy and continued his love of the sport through coaching in the Northern Virginia area for many years. He was also the Varsity Soccer Coach at Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield.

Besides his loving wife of 49 years, Ernst is survived by his son, Derek Biendl, his wife Lara and 2 grandchildren, Cameron and Caden Biendl of Bristow. He is also survived by his Aunt, Anni Rahnke of Silver Spring, MD who was responsible for his move from Germany to the United States when he was 18 years old.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 9750 Wellington Road, Manassas, Virginia. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary with The Rev. Rudy Tucker, Jr. officiating.

Interment will be at the Place of Peace Columbarium, 9535 Linton Hall Road, Bristow, Virginia at a later date.

Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to Capital Caring Hospice, 24419 Millstream Drive, Aldie, VA 20105.
