Stafford Christmas Parade Returns to Pratt Park on Dec. 20 with “Christmas Vacation” Theme

The annual Stafford Christmas Parade returns to Pratt Park on Saturday, December 20, 2025, bringing holiday cheer, festive floats, and community spirit to the heart of Stafford County.

Presented by Stafford Fair, the parade will step off at 3 p.m. Organizers encourage spectators to arrive early to secure parking, grab food, and claim the best viewing spots.

“This year’s parade theme is Christmas Vacation,” said Gordon Shelton, the parade organizer. “We’re excited to welcome 55 parade entries and about 750 community members for a fun, family-friendly event.”

Spectators are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and plenty of holiday spirit. A food truck will be on site during the event.

Pratt Park will accommodate only handicapped parking. General parking will be available at the YMCA on Butler Road, with pedestrian access to Pratt Park until 2:45 p.m. Once the parade begins, crossing the parade route will not be permitted. Overflow parking will be available at St. Clair Brooks Park on Butler Road, with access to the parade via a walking trail.

The parade will be held rain, shine, or light snow.

The procession will be led by the American Legion Honor Guard, followed by public safety agencies, community organizations, schools, local businesses, and novelty entries. The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office will participate and provide support throughout the event.

All parade proceeds will benefit the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Holiday Toy Drive, helping local families in need during the holiday season.
