Vehicle thefts and vandalism in Stafford County

Stafford County faced a series of vehicle-related crimes on November 13, 2025. The most serious incident involved a motor vehicle theft on Clark Lane, where a resident reported their car missing after parking it in front of their home the previous night. Another vehicle theft was reported on Everglades Lane, with the vehicle last seen parked in the driveway on November 12.

Additionally, there were two attempted vehicle thefts on Barclay Lane and Bloomington Lane. In both cases, the vehicles were damaged, and evidence suggested attempts to steal them.

In a separate incident, a fraud case was reported on Ashbury Drive, where an unknown individual made unauthorized purchases using the victim’s credit card.

Authorities are continuing investigations into the motor vehicle thefts and attempted thefts. Residents are encouraged to report any information to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY
Barclay Lane, 11/13 6:17 a.m. Deputy J. A. Kotvas responded to a vandalism complaint. The victim reported that someone entered their vehicle and attempted to steal it. Inside of the vehicle there were damages and evidence of an attempted theft of the vehicle.
Bloomington Lane, 11/13 7:36 a.m. Deputy C. D. Sullivan responded to a similar complaint as above. In this case there was also damage to the vehicle and evidence of an attempted theft of the vehicle.

FRAUD
Ashbury Drive, 11/13 12:28 p.m. Deputy F. C. O’Neill responded to a fraud complaint. The victim reported that an unknown individual made fraudulent purchases on their credit card.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
Clark Lane, 11/13 12:49 p.m. Deputy C. D. Sullivan responded to the residence for a motor vehicle theft report. The victim reported that they parked their vehicle in front of their residence the night before. When the victim came out the next morning, their vehicle was missing.
Everglades Lane 11/3 11:58 a.m. Deputy R. L. Hubbard responded to the residence for a separate motor vehicle theft report. The victim reported that their vehicle had been stolen from their driveway. The vehicle was last seen parked in the driveway on 11/12/2025.

**Further investigation will be on-going related to the motor vehicle thefts and attempted motor vehicle theft incidents.**
