A new MyEyeDoctor office is now open at Embrey Mill Town Center, adding to the growing list of businesses locating in one of Stafford County’s busiest developments.
Community members joined local officials and MyEyeDoctor staff on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening. The event featured remarks from Dr. Andrew Chan, the new office’s optometrist, who said the location is a perfect fit for his growing practice and his family.
“Embrey Mill is a beautiful, growing area,” said Chan. “After working with MyEyeDoctor for several years, this opportunity felt right. I’ve lived here since 2016, and it’s great to now serve patients in the community I call home.”
The new location will provide comprehensive eye care, including vision exams, glasses, and contact lenses, along with screening and treatment for glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and other conditions. The office will also focus on dry eye therapy and myopia management, two areas of increasing demand.
Chan, whose family joined him for the celebration, said he’s excited to build lasting relationships with patients and neighbors in Stafford County.
The opening marks another milestone for Embrey Mill, which continues to attract restaurants, retailers, and professional services. Nearby, discussions continue about a proposed Buc-ee’s Travel Center off Interstate 95 at Exit 140, a short distance from the new office. Chan said he visited a Buc-ee’s in South Carolina and described the experience as “overwhelming in the best way possible.”
The MyEyeDoctor office joins Crimson Coward and several other businesses and restaurants that have opened at Embrey Mill in the past year, strengthening the development’s role as a commercial anchor for North Stafford.
