The investigation was conducted by the department’s Child Victim’s Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, which is part of the NOVA-DC ICAC Taskforce. The sheriff’s office emphasized its collaboration with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to prevent child exploitation and urged anyone with concerns about abuse to contact local authorities or NCMEC.
