Woman found dead in vehicle in Gainesville

A 40-year-old woman was found unconscious in a vehicle on the 13500 block of Wellington Center Circle in Gainesville. Officers responded to the scene on October 6 at 12:25 p.m., where the woman was pronounced dead.

Preliminary investigations suggest that there are no signs of foul play, and the community is not at risk. Further information will be released if necessary, police said.

Later that day, officers conducting business checks in Woodbridge discovered a commercial burglary. A broken window was found at a vacant property on the 2600 block of Prince William Parkway. While it is unclear if anything was stolen, a safe and a cash register were damaged.

Death Investigation – On October 6 at 12:25PM, officers responded to the 13500 block of Wellington Center Cir in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a death. The investigation revealed a 40-year-old woman was found unconscious inside a vehicle parked in the above area. The woman was pronounced dead on scene. Preliminarily, there were no signs of foul play. At this time, there is no threat to the community concerning the death. More information regarding the investigation will be released if deemed necessary.

Commercial Burglary – On October 6 at 4:06PM, officers performing business checks in the 2600 block of the Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) observed a broken window accessing a vacant property. The investigation revealed a rear window had been broken out to access the location. It is unknown if property was reported missing. A safe and cash register were found damaged.
