An incident occurred at Chipotle on South Gateway Drive, where a couple was involved in an assault and firearm disturbance. A woman in an intoxicated state assaulted a victim while her boyfriend brandished a shotgun and sent threatening messages, police said. The woman was charged with multiple offenses, including assault and battery, while the boyfriend faced charges for brandishing a firearm and making threats.
In another incident, a road rage confrontation at 610 Car Wash led to an assault. The suspect, angered by being cut off in traffic, confronted and assaulted the victim. He was charged with assault and battery.
Additionally, a traffic stop at McDonald’s on Garrisonville Road revealed a driver in possession of controlled substances. The driver was charged with possession with intent to distribute and held on a secured bond.
Several DUI incidents were reported, including a Cadillac crash on Harrell Road, where the driver showed signs of intoxication and was found with controlled substances. Other DUI arrests involved reckless driving and accidents on Regina Lane and Mountain View Road.
Lastly, an attempted vehicle theft at Collision Central resulted in the theft of a Nissan Rogue after the suspect failed to steal a Dodge Charger.

ASSAULT
Sheetz, 15 Wyche Road, 10/3, 3:48 p.m. Deputy R.H. Ryan responded to an assault. It was advised the victim was approached in the parking lot by a known suspect. The suspect would spit on the victim and assault him. A warrant for assault and battery was obtained and the suspect was released on his signature.Chipotle, 28 South Gateway Drive, 10/3, 6:00 p.m. Deputy I.E. Baldi responded to a disturbance involving a firearm. It was discovered the victim was in the area with his son when a known female and her boyfriend approached them. The female, in an intoxicated state, would assault the victim. The boyfriend would brandish a shotgun and send threatening messages via phone to the victim. The female was charged with assault and battery, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and public intoxication. The boyfriend was charged with brandishing a firearm and threats of death. Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober while the boyfriend was held on a secured bond.
610 Car Wash, 389 Garrisonville Road, 10/4, 4:49 p.m. Deputy R.H. Ryan responded to a road rage incident. After being “cut off” in traffic, the suspect confronted the victim. During the confrontation, the suspect assaulted the victim. He was charged with assault and battery and released by the magistrate on personal recognizance.DRUGS
McDonald’s, 190 Garrisonville Road, 10/3, 10:25 p.m. First Sergeant B.U. Demirci was patrolling the area when he observed a Kia making an unlawful U-Turn. A traffic stop was conducted and Deputy R.H. Ryan responded to assist. Suspected controlled substances were located in plain view and during a search of the vehicle, even more suspected controlled substances were located. The driver was charged with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.DUI
Area of Harrell Road and Forbes Street, 10/3, 12:10 a.m. Deputy C.A. Osborne responded to a single vehicle auto accident. A Cadillac crashed into a ditch. The driver had signs of intoxication and was found to be operating his phone at the time of the crash. During the DUI investigation, not only was suspected marijuana located, but also a baggie with white powder. He was charged with driving under the influence, possession of controlled substances, using a phone while driving, and using marijuana while driving. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.Regina Lane, 10/3, 5:23 p.m. Deputy N.J. Amato responded to a reckless driver report. The caller advised they observed a Chevy swerve off the road and strike a mailbox before continuing on. The caller provided updates until Deputy Amato could locate the vehicle on Regina Lane. The driver had signs of intoxication and admitted to consuming a “half a can” of Twisted Tea. The driver was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
2800 block of Mountain View Road, 10/4, 9:58 p.m. Deputy N.K. Daigle responded to an auto accident. A Nissan drifted over the double yellow line and struck a Jeep. The at fault driver had signs of intoxication and admitted to consuming two beers around 30 minutes ago. He would also have no driver’s license. The driver was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license, and the traffic lane violation. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
LARCENY
Collision Central, 211 Marion Street, 10/3, 9:36 a.m. Deputy J.A. Buzzard responded to a larceny. Staff advised a male attempted to steal a Dodge Charger.
