Fatal Hit-and-Run on Richmond Highway
A 53-year-old man was killed Wednesday night in a hit-and-run crash on Richmond Highway near Easy Street.
Prince William County police say officers responded at 9:03 p.m. and found an unconscious man in the roadway. Investigators determined the victim was initially struck by a 2012 Toyota Highlander while crossing the road outside a crosswalk. Moments later, he was hit a second time by an unknown vehicle that continued driving southbound and fled the scene.
The driver of the Highlander remained at the scene and was not injured.
The pedestrian, identified as Miles Jonathan Moore, of Woodbridge, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about the unknown vehicle to contact the Crash Investigation Unit. The investigation remains ongoing.

Kevin Michael SWEENEY, 35, was arrested for allegedly assaulting and strangling a 36-year-old woman during a verbal altercation. The victim sustained minor injuries.
Commercial Burglary – Business Center Break-In
Woodbridge (22193) – March 19, 2025
A burglary was reported at a business center on Noble Pond Way. Entry was gained through an unsecured door, and a microwave was stolen.
Vandalism – Hate Symbol Found in School Restroom
Haymarket (20169) – March 19, 2025
A swastika and derogatory language were discovered in a restroom stall at Ronald Reagan Middle School. No direct threats were found.
Stafford County
Fatal Crash on Cambridge Street (Route 1)
March 19, 2025
At approximately 6:06 a.m., Deputy W.J. Walker responded to the 500 block of Cambridge Street for a reported auto accident. The caller believed he had struck a deer. Upon arrival, Deputy Walker located an adult male with apparent injuries lying on the ground.
Additional deputies and Fire and Rescue personnel responded. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries. He was identified as Gregory Breeden, 52, of Stafford.
Preliminary investigation revealed the driver was traveling northbound in the right lane, while the pedestrian was walking southbound. The driver remained on scene, was uninjured, and is cooperating with the investigation.

A fight broke out over music at the inn on Warrenton Road. Surveillance footage led to the arrests of three suspects, ages 20, 41, and 45, who were charged with assault by mob.

A female suspect caused a disturbance at the pharmacy drive-through before throwing a glass bottle at employees. She was charged with assault and littering.
Shoplifting – Price Tag Fraud
Weis, Deacon Road – March 19, 2025
A female suspect was identified after allegedly altering price tags since January, stealing more than $130 in merchandise. Warrants for shoplifting are pending.
