A major supplier in the Mid-Atlantic region has found a new home in Manassas.
In December 2024, Northeastern Supply, a plumbing, HVAC, PVF, and water system supplies distributor, opened its new location at 9751 Center Street in the former Southern States feed store building.
The 37,000-square-foot industrial facility now serves as a consolidated location for Northeastern Supply’s Prince William County and Loudoun County operations. The company, which has been in business since 1945, has a reputation for strong customer relationships, extensive inventory, and high-quality service for contractors. With 42 locations across Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, Northeastern Supply has become a trusted name in the construction and home improvement industries.
With many construction-related businesses in Manassas, the arrival of a dedicated supplier for plumbing and HVAC materials is a strategic advantage for local contractors. The company’s deep inventory and established supplier partnerships ensure quick and reliable access to essential building materials.
Northeastern Supply began in a converted row house in Baltimore and has since evolved into a multi-state operation. In 1964, John H. Cook III took the reins at the company’s Elkton, Md., branch, later purchasing the company in 1971. His leadership set the foundation for future expansion, a vision continued by his son, Steve Cook, who became President in 1987 and led the company’s expansion from four to thirty-one branches. Under his guidance, the company also launched a state-of-the-art central distribution center in 2001.
Northeastern Supply has expanded to 40 branches.
