Man sleeping in bank parking lot robbed at gunpoint

Prince William Police Department:Armed Robbery – On October 24 at 12:19 a.m., officers responded to the 7800 block of Sudley Road in Manassas to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 20-year-old man, was sleeping in the parking lot in the above area when two unknown men approached his vehicle. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a firearm towards the victim while the other man took several
personal items and removed the license plates from the vehicle before both men then fled in a red Honda. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported. Suspect Descriptions: A white male, approximately 5’10, with a thin build, and clean shaven. Last seen wearing a black hat, a black mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, and multi-colored pants. A black male, approximately 5’10, with a thin build, and braces. Last seen wearing a white shirt and pajama-style shorts.”

Armed Robbery – On October 23 at 3:04 p.m., officers responded to investigate a robbery that was reported to have occurred in the 2900 block of the Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge on October 22 at approximately 5:30 p.m. The investigation revealed the victim, a 42-year-old woman, was parked in the parking lot in the above area when an unknown man approached her vehicle. During the encounter, the man brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s jewelry before fleeing on foot. The victim left the area and eventually contacted the police. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported. The suspect was described as wearing all black clothing.”

Commercial Burglary – On October 23 at 8:53 a.m., officers responded to Vienna Glass Company located at 7873 Coppermine Drive in Manassas to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed sometime between 4:50 p.m. on October 20 and 7:30 a.m. on October 23, entry was made into the business through a window that was found damaged. An undisclosed amount of money and office supplies were reported missing.”

Strangulation | Domestic Related – On October 21 at 8:22 p.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 13900 Roanoke Street in Woodbridge to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed the victim, a 35-year-old woman, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim before grabbing her neck. The parties were separated by other occupants of the home and the police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Ray Johnathen SURRATT, was arrested. Arrested on October 21: [No Photo Available] Ray Johnathen SURRATT, 37, of the 13900 block of Roanoke Street in Woodbridge. Charged with strangulation. Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond.”

The Montgomery County Women’s Chorus will present a concert to benefit the Betty Ann Krahnke shelter for survivors of domestic violence. 100% of ticket sales (less any online processing fees) will go to the shelter.
