Dumfries announced the adoption of its Fiscal Plan for FY2024 and the Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for fiscal years 2024 to 2028.
According to the town budget, the town will spend double the amount of cash it did in 2021, increasing spending from $5.4 million to $10.7 million. An anticipated 260% increase in the gaming tax revenues, 129% anticipated increase in meals taxes, and 67% anticipated hotel taxes are driving the new spending.
