Tang’s Alterations in Manassas continues to make facemasks for first responders on the frontlines fighting the coronavirus outbreak.
Owners Xiao-Yin and Kenny Loveless told Potomac Local News they’ve made about 500 masks since they began making them March 25. Many of them have been donated to area emergency crews, and to the Novant/UVA Prince William Medical Center across the street from their storefront in Canterbury Village Shopping Center in Manassas.
Tangs has also posted a tutorial on how to make facemasks for those at home:
Tangs says they’ve received requests from nursing homes and the public about masks donations. They’re taking the contact information for the people requesting the masks, The plan is to try and fill those requests on the second run of masks, said Loveless.
“It breaks out heart we can’t fill every order right now,” he said.
Tangs also provided us with this printable facemask pattern to share with you, so you can make them at home and then donate.
