1 brewery, 2 parks, tons of crafts: Occoquan Spring Craft Show to returns June 1 & 2

OCCOQUAN — (Press release) The Spring Occoquan Arts and Crafts Show will be held rain or shine on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in historic Occoquan.

A 50-year tradition, this award-winning outdoor street festival features hundreds of artisans and crafters from all over the region and U.S., delicious food, fun interactive activities for the kids, and a beer garden and band in the park.

While you’re browsing the many one-of-a-kind arts, crafts, and handmade goods featured throughout the show, be sure to make time to stop by the beer garden in River Mill Park on June 1, from noon to 5 p.m.

The beer garden will feature local craft brews from Water’s End Brewery and popular music by Just Wanna Play. Be sure to sample from the many food trucks and tents nearby. On Sunday, the town is pleased to offer beautiful River Mill Park as a venue to McGrath Morgan Academy of Irish Dance and the Ordway Conservatory of Classical Ballet to showcase their talents. Rockledge Assembly of English Country Dancers will perform throughout the craft show site.

Denny Eigell plays classic rock again this year in Mamie Davis Park on Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and folk and blues artist, Doug Alan Wilcox plays on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Children will want to visit Mill House Museum for exciting, free events. Young visitors will be welcome to explore a firetruck or take a turn at dunking a policeman. Children will also want to have their face painted or get their very own balloon art with Fairy Jennabelle.

While you are down by the park, be sure to enter this Spring’s drawing for the 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible.
