WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) On February 25 at 8:59 p.m., officers responded to Healthwise located within the Potomac Mills mall at 2700 Potomac Mills Cl. in Woodbridge to investigate a fight with weapons.
The investigation revealed two employees, the accused and the victim, got into a verbal altercation, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim with a blunt object causing a minor laceration to the arm. The parties separated and police were contacted. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Xiantao Xu, was arrested.
On February 24 at 3:30 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Summerland Dr. and Horner Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate the report of a domestic occurring in a moving vehicle. The investigation revealed the victim, a 25-year-old woman, and the accused, an acquaintance, were driving home when a verbal altercation escalated physically.
During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face before choking her. The parties eventually separated, and the police were contacted. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Collin Ahmad Frazer, was arrested.
In other news, officers investigated a burglary on February 20 at 11:22 a.m at Tan Auto Body & Paint in Woodbridge. The manager reported to police that at approximately 3:45 a.m. an unknown individual entered the business through a side door that was found damaged. The suspect took a Ford Fusion from inside of the business and drove off.
While on proactive patrol in the area of Arizona Ave., officers recovered the stolen vehicle on February 21. Upon further investigation, detectives with the Property Crimes Unit identified a juvenile suspect involved, a 16-year-old male, who was subsequently charged for the burglary.
