WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) – On November 5 at 2:08PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2900 block of Chinkapin Oak Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary-in-progress. The investigation revealed that two masked men entered the residence and encountered the homeowner. At that point, the suspects fled on foot. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. No weapons were seen and no property was reported missing. The suspects were only described as black males wearing all dark colored clothing. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary | Violation of a Protective Order [Previously Released] – On October 14 at 9:20AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2900 block of Myrtlewood Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the accused, identified as Roger Melvin Sesso LASSITER, responded to the residence and attempted to make contact with family members by knocking on the front door. When a family member refused to open the door, the accused attempted to kick in the front door before fleeing the area in a vehicle without making entry into the residence. Further investigation determined that the accused was in violation of an active final protective order, which was obtained against him by family members. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused. Attempts to locate him have been unsuccessful. The investigation continues.
School Threat Investigation – On November 4, police received information regarding a potential threat of violence to Gar-field High School located at 14000 Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22192). The investigation revealed that a student and other male juvenile residing in Pennsylvania created a post indicating potential violence towards the school and distributed the message on SnapChat. The School Resource Officer (SRO), with the assistance from detectives with the Intel Unit, was able to identify the student and the other juvenile involved. Police determined that the risk to the school was not credible. Following the investigation, the SRO obtained a detention order against the student and arrested him on November 6 at his residence in Woodbridge without incident.

Threats to Harm *ARREST – On November 5, members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Marvin Alexander PORTILLO TREJO in Chicago, Illinois. The accused was sought by police on active warrants related to threatening text messages that was reported on October 29. The suspect will remain incarcerated in Chicago pending extradition to Virginia.

Threats to Harm [Previously Released] – On October 29 at 4:14AM, officers responded to a residence located in Manassas (20111) to investigate a report of threatening text messages. The victim, a 23-year-old woman, reported to police that she had received several threatening text messages from the accused, an acquaintance, which suggested an act of violence against the victim and her family. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the suspect, identified as Marvin Alexander PORTILLO TREJO. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful. The investigation continues.
