Residents can get a jumpstart on spring cleaning at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore – Manassas while supporting Habitat for Humanity Prince William County’s mission to help families with home ownership and home repairs.
To celebrate the new season, the first 100 customers to purchase or donate a wood-based product on Friday, April 22, will receive a free packet of Burpee Pollinator Seeds.
Habitat for Humanity Prince William County’s next project is to rehab a home at 4602 Central Park Drive in Woodbridge with family partner Wudasie Retta, Tesfaye Abuye and their three children, Kidus, Haleluya and Levi. Once the family has put in 350 hours of sweat equity in construction, education and other volunteer tasks, they will purchase the home from Habitat for Humanity with a zero-profit, affordable mortgage.
Residents can support Habitat for Humanity Prince William County’s mission by donating items such as appliances, furniture, home goods, cabinets, lighting and building products. The ReStore then sells the products to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds from the ReStore help build, rehab and repair homes in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park.
