A family called 911 after discovering a fire on their porch.
At 11 p.m Tuesday, fire and rescue crews were sent to Redstone Drive in Dale City for a report of a structure fire.
By the time fire and rescue crews had arrived the family had safely vacated the home. One side of the home had partially collapsed while the rest was ablaze, according to a press release.
No injuries were reported.
The three-story single home suffered an estimated total loss in preliminary damages and ruled unsafe by an onsite building inspector. A family of six lives in the house.
The Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the fire.
