The force will awaken Woodbridge at 7 p.m.
Hordes of costumed fans are standing in line for the first showing of the latest movie in the Star Wars franchise “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
This is the first Star Wars movie since 2005, and fans have been looking forward to this moment since Disney purchased the Star Wars franchise for $4 billion four years ago and promised to make new Star Wars films.
AMC Theaters at Potomac Mills mall will begin showing the Force Awakens at 7 p.m., with subsequent showings at 7:15, 7:30, 8:30, 9 p.m., ending with a 2 a.m. showing. Seven of tonights showings at AMC had sold out by 5 p.m.
Manassas 4 Cinemas will show the film at 7 and 7:30 p.m.
Regal Cinemas in Aquia Harbour in Stafford will show the film tonight at 7 o’clock, 7:01 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.
