Occoquan is ready to light its Christmas Tree and the shops look festive

The Town of Occoquan is decked out for Christmas.

Shops in town have window displays set for Santa and his elves, and for shoppers looking to find something special in one of the many unique shops in the tiny town.

Town officials tonight will light a 15-foot Christmas Tree at 8:05 p.m.

In December, the carolers will participate in the first “WinterFest” event. Singers belting out Christmas carols will walk the town streets on December 12 as part of the festival which takes place in the town, at Tacketts Mill Shopping Center, and at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton.
