Virginia State Police were called to mile marker 155 on I-95 in Dale City to search for an abducted woman yesterday afternoon.
According to Virginia State Police, troopers were sent to search for the suspect, 28-year old Henrico County man Aaron Berg, and the 18-year old female victim from Prince Edward County.
Virginia State Police stated that at 1:50 p.m. yesterday Berg pulled over on the shoulder at the mile marker when the victim fled from the car.
Berg ran after the victim for a distance before he returned to the vehicle and drove away.
The victim was found by officers and was transported to Fairfax INOVA Hospital, stated Virginia State Police.
After an investigation, Virginia State Police were able to identify Berg’s residence in Hanover County.
Berg was arrested yesterday evening, and is being charged with sodomy, strangulation, assault and battery, abduction with intent to defile and intentionally destroying property, stated Virginia State Police.
Berg and the victim were acquaintances prior to the incident.
