Fire crews called to Woodbridge home

A fire broke out at a home near Veterans Memorial Park in Woodbridge on Saturday night. 

Here are the latest details from OWL Volunteer Fire Department: 

Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Firefighters responded to the report of a house fire at 1265 Everett Ave in Woodbridge.  Crews arrived within minutes and reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the basement.  

Crews entered through the front door and attacked flames in the basement. In addition to the basement, intense heat and smoke caused damage to the first floor. The blaze was under control within minutes and is under investigation by the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s Office.

American Red Cross was called for four adults, one dog. There were no reported injuries. Fire and Rescue units from OWL VFD, Dale City VFD, PWCDF&R, Fairfax, Quantico and PWCPD responded to the incident.
