Dale City man arrested for sexually assaulting a minor

On Tuesday, detectives from the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit responded to a call about a sexual assault that occurred on Bradford Street in Dale City. 

According to a Prince William police release, the detectives found during their investigation that the suspect sexually assaulted the victim – a female minor – at least twice during February 2015.

The victim disclosed the incidences of sexual assault, and the police were notified, according to a release.

After the investigation, the Prince William police arrested the suspect, Michael Thomas Moody, a 43-year old Woodbridge resident.

Moody is being charged with aggravated sexual battery and forcible sodomy, and is being held without bond.

Sexual Assault Investigation – On March 17th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at residence located in the 3300 block of Bradford St in Woodbridge (22193). The investigation revealed that the victim, a juvenile female, was sexually assaulted by the accused on at least two occasions sometime in February of 2015. The victim recently disclosed the encounter and police were notified. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on March 18th.

Charged with aggravated sexual battery and forcible sodomy
