Abdur Roland, a Prince William County resident, pled guilty today to counts of robbery, use of a firearm in a crime, and being in possession of a firearm with a felony record.
Roland was involved in gang activity, and used the name “Boo” in his gang dealings, and has been linked to the Bloods street gang.
According to a Department of Justice press release, Roland participated in a carjacking of two individuals that were selling marijuana in May 2013.
After the carjacking, Roland participated in a home invasion robbery at the home of one of the earlier carjacking victims that same night.
Two innocent bystanders were caught up during the home invasion and were tied up and held at gunpoint. According to the release, one victims was sexually assaulted.
Roland and the other robbery participants on the scene also threw bricks at the windows of another home and fired gunshots on the property – occupied at the time of the incident.
U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema accepted Roland’s plea.
When sentenced on May 8, he could receive up to life in prison for the charges.
