Mark Milligan, 23, had spent a “couple months” in the Prince William County area, according to a Stafford sheriff’s spokesman.
Milligan was shot and killed outside Wings to Go just off Garrisonville Road in North Stafford on Sunday.
According to investigators, Milligan exchanged gunfire with two other unidentified males in the parking lot of the eatery just before he died. The two other males drove themselves to a local hospital where they were treated.
Authorities did not release their conditions. No charges have been filed in the case.
Milligan was originally from the Bronx area of New York City, N.Y., according to authorities.
Sunday’s shootout led to the first homicide in Stafford County in 2015. Last year, there were two homicides in the county.
