53 days later, what we don’t know about a Stafford Christmastime stabbing

Drivers passing by saw blood on the pavement outside a popular shopping destination in the days leading up to Christmas.

According to the Stafford sheriff’s office, two men were involved in road rage argument. The men got out of their cars, and one stabbed the other. A victim was taken to a local hospital.

All of this happened in broad daylight 53 days ago outside a Walmart in North Stafford, during the height of the Christmas shopping rush. To date, investigators at the sheriff’s office are still working in the case.

No new information about the case has been released. Nothing, from the victim’s age, to condition, to what investigators discovered about the moments leading up to the violent confrontation, has been spoken about by authorities to the public.

There are no charges in the case.

There was, back on Dec. 21 when the stabbing took place, a bloody scene on the roadway following the stabbing. A photo was sent to Potomac Local by a driver happening to drive by the scene following the incident. That’s the photo we used in this story.

Emergency crews used water to wash away the blood on the pavement, and traffic on the street resumed as normal.
