Woman Uses Cable, Extension Cord to Strike Teen

DALE CITY, Va. – On Nov. 13, officers arrested a woman they said used a “coaxial cable and an electrical extension cord” to strike a 14-year-old female victim after an argument.

Here’s the latest from Prince William police; 

Malicious Wounding | Felony Child Abuse – On November 13th, detectives from the Physical Abuse Unit began an investigation into an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 15100 block of Concord Dr in Woodbridge (22193) on November 12th. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 14 year old female juvenile, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, a family member, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused used a coaxial cable and an electrical extension cord to repeatedly strike the victim. As a result, the victim sustained significant injuries to her back, legs and lower body to include deep bruising, lacerations and swelling. The victim reported the incident to school officials who in turn informed Child Protective Services and police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on November 13th.

                Charged with malicious wounding and felony child abuse
