
Some of the final shades of fall color to grace the trees this season could be seen along the Potomac River.
From the banks of the developing Potomac Shores neighborhood, a motorboat and a sailboat could be seen the large blue surface that is the mighty Potomac.
Overhead, a black helicopter could be seen using the river to navigate south before landing at nearby Leesylvania State Park. The helicopter was airborne once more just 10 minutes after landing, and it continued its trip south toward Quantico.
The photo was taken from an overlook at Potomac Shores. A Virginia Railway Express station will be built nearby on the bluff overlooking the river.
A new marketplace complete with retail shops, restaurants, and offices is also expected to be built in the area.
