William Roland “Widge” Fouts 93, passed away Thursday Feb 20, 2014 and goes forth to join his beloved wife Muriel, daughter, Aldora and grandson Ian.
He was born in Franklin, N.C. and resided most of life in Triangle, Virginia. A 32nd Degree Mason in the Quantico Masonic Lodge, he retired from civil service with the U.S. Government. He was a kind man with strong family values and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He leaves behind many that love him including daughters: Donna Lee Wheeler and her husband Jim, Barbara Ann Rountrey and her husband, Eddie; grandchildren Richard Murren and his wife, Kristy, Jason Wheeler and his wife, Sonya and James Rountrey and the angel that took such good care of him in his last months, Sherry Poole; eight great grandchildren: Dustin, Devin, Macy, Olivia, Mackenzie, Owen, Elsa and Louis; two great-great grandchildren, Davyn and Dylan.
William R. Fouts was also survived by two siblings: Doris Lynch and Merritt Fouts, both of Franklin, N.C.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8pm on Tuesday, February 25. A service will be held at noon on Wednesday, February 26, at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home & Crematory, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, VA 22193.
