Schools
Stafford County Public Schools:
Stafford County Schools will be closed on Friday, February 14, 2014. Employees will be on Code 2. Liberal leave is in effect. Administrative offices open at 10 a.m. The employee status will be reassessed on Friday morning by 7:30 a.m.
Colleges and Universities
University of Mary Washington (UMW):
Due to adverse weather conditions, the University will be closed Friday, Feb. 14 on the Fredericksburg, Stafford and Dahlgren campuses. Administrative and staff offices will be closed and all classes, events and activities will be canceled.
Germanna Community College (GCC):
Due to inclement weather all Germanna locations will be closed Friday February 14, 2014.
Military Installations
Quantico:
MCB Quantico will be in operating status code blue for Feb. 14 and open at noon. Unscheduled leave may be authorized.
DODEA schools aboard the base will be closed Friday.
Fort Belvoir:
Facilities and services of the Fort Belvoir Garrison are – OPEN Feb. 14, 2014 WITH 2-HOUR DELAY/UNSCHEDULED LEAVE-UNSCHEDULE TELEWORK.
Federal Government
Federal agencies in the Washington, DC, area are OPEN under 2 hours DELAYED ARRIVAL and the employees have the option for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework. Employees should plan to arrive for work no more than 2 hours later than they would be expected to arrive.
Local Government
Stafford County Government:
Stafford Government offices will open two hours late on Friday, February 14, 2014, Liberal Leave is in effect for employees.
Circuit Court, District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Court will be closed on Friday, February 14, 2014.
The meeting of the Finance Subcommittee of the 350th Anniversary scheduled for Friday, February 14, 2014, has been canceled. The subcommittee will meet next on Friday, February 28, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. in the Economic Development Conference Room of the George L. Gordon, Jr., Government Center, 1300 Courthouse Road, Stafford, VA 22554.
Local Transportation
FRED Bus:
Due to inclement weather: FRED Transit is CLOSED, there is NO regular bus service, NO Eagle Express bus service and NO VRE bus service on Friday, February 14, 2014.
Virginia Railway (VRE):
This is a confirmation that we are operating an “S” Schedule today, February 14th. Only trains with an “S” above its train number in the schedule will operate.
