WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A driver whose SUV was hit and subsequently overturned climbed out of his crashed car.
The crash happened about 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 on Shoppers Best Way near a Shoppers Food Warehouse on Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge. The driver was not seriously injured, and witnesses on the scene said the driver of the striking vehicle – a minivan – fled the scene.
Several bystanders crowded around the man who climbed out of his vehicle to comfort him. Some told Potomac Local News that have chase to the fleeing driver for at least two blocks, to a nearby Walmart store, before they gave up and returned to the scene of the crash.
By the time police arrived, the driver appeared to have retuned to the crash scene.
Julio Juarez is charged with operating a vehicle without a license and with failing to obey a traffic signal, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
