JE “Tex” Thomas, 84, of Stafford County passed away Friday evening, July 12, 2013, at Inova Healthplex-Lorton in Lorton, VA.
He was born in Shallow Water, Texas, and grew up on a cotton farm in Lynn County, Texas.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife of 58 years, Thelma Pitcock “Jackie” Thomas; two daughters, Sandra Wozney (John) and Patricia Thomas; three granddaughters, Amy Marcellus, Kristy Gardner (Garry) and Johna Wozney; one great-granddaughter, Krista Marcellus; one brother, Vandon Thomas of Annandale; one sister, Martha McDowell of Adrian, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, and again one hour prior to the funeral, which will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 25.
Burial will be in Stafford Memorial Park, Shelton Shop Road, Stafford.
