MANASSAS, Va. — After a 3-year-old boy was found walking alone in a Manassas area neighborhood, police asked the child to lead them back to his home.
When he did, they found the mother of the child passed out and intoxicated, according to police.
Officers were called at 8:15 p.m Monday to the 10500 block of Winfield Loop and then went to the child’s home on nearby Staunton Circle where they arrested the child’s mother.
The boy was not harmed, but police said he was left alone for about 45 minutes.
Elizabeth Ashley Winfrey, 25, is charged with felony child neglect and was held on a $10,000 bond, police said.
