Shots Fired at Stafford Home

STAFFORD, Va. — Shots were fired into a townhouse on Cummings Drive about 10:30 p.m. Friday.

No one was hurt, but the two people inside the house near the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office said they heard what sounded like gunshots. They went to investigate and found what appeared to be two bullet holes in a shattered rear glass door, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

Deputies called to the scene checked the area but found no suspects in the case.

“The homeowners told detectives they don’t know why anyone would target their home,” said Kennedy.

Detectives believe a total of two rounds were fired at the house. Kennedy said the shooting was an isolated incident.
