DUMFRIES, Va. -- Police say an arranged meeting between a man and a woman at a Dumfries hotel room led to an armed robbery.
The 23-year-old female victim in the case told police she arranged to meet a man she didnât know at a Comfort Inn on Old Stage Coach Road. Police were called there at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday.
When the man arrived at the room, the woman recognized the man as someone she had âmet a few years ago,â according to police. The man became nervous while inside the room and then left.
