MANASSAS, Va. — A Manassas man was arrested Tuesday after taking a shot at another man in broad daylight, police said.
A fight broke out in the 8700 block of Mathis Avenue, near Va. 28 and the parking lot of MVC adult video store, at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. During the fight, one suspect pulled out a gun and fired a single shot, missing the victim, said police.
No injuries were reported.
The man fled the scene and was later arrested by police in neighboring Prince William County, about two hours later.
Christopher Russell Golembe, 28, of 9907 Portner Avenue, is charged with attempted malicious wounding, and with use of a firearm in commission of a felony, said a Manassas police spokeswoman.
He was held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court August 6.
