STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — University of Mary Washington Professor Debra Schleef has been installed as the 23rd president of the Rotary Club of Stafford County.
Two significant awards also were presented at the club’s annual celebration banquet on June 19: George Franklin was named Rotarian of the Year and the Service Above Self Award was presented to Nelda Mohr.
Stafford Rotary is known for hosting the annual fall Wings & Wheels Festival, as well as contributing many hours of volunteer service in the community. Three scholarships are given to county high school seniors each year by the club, as well.
Stafford Rotary meets each Wednesday at noon at The Crossings at Falls Run.
