MANASSAS, Va. — Police in Manassas said they found a man lying on Town Lane suffering wounds. The man told him he fell, but police said he was assaulted.

Assault
At approximately 11:27PM Tuesday, June 18, Manassas City Police responded to the 9800 block of Town Lane for a report of a man lying in the roadway. Officers arrived with EMS and found a man from nearby Sandalwood Lane with abrasions on his arms and face. The man told officers that he fell and that is how he was injured. His injuries, however, indicated that he had been assaulted. He was transported to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
Attempted Robbery
At approximately 10:42PM Monday, June 17, Manassas City Police responded to the 8900 block of Patterson Place for a report of an attempted Robbery. The victim stated that he was walking home from the neighboring ‘7-Eleven’ store when he was approached by a man demanding his cell phone and displaying a knife. The victim did not give the suspect his phone and instead ran home. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his early twenties, approximately 5’8” tall, 150 lbs, with short black curly hair and a thin mustache, wearing a black t-shirt, and cargo shorts.
Residential Burglary
Manassas City Police are investigating the burglary of a residence on the 9200 block of Prescott Avenue. A resident, who was in the process of moving into the home, noticed Thursday morning, June 13, that at some point overnight, unknown suspects had broken in through a front window, consumed alcohol and narcotics, and damaged and stole items belonging to the resident.
Commercial Unlawful Entry – Arrest
Manassas City Police investigated the burglary of ‘DTR Towing’ at 10462 Colonel Court. At approximately 9:40PM Sunday, June 9, two suspects entered the warehouse vehicle storage area and removed a car that had been towed earlier in the evening. Subsequent investigation revealed that Jonathan Martinez unlawfully entered DTR to retrieve a towed car which belongs to a family member. Jonathan Edenilson Martinez, 18, of 10112 Erin Court, was charged with Unlawful Entry and will appear in court on July 15.
