MANASSAS, Va. – The man who once oversaw Manassas’ government will lead it once more.
Larry Hughes will take over as interim City Manager at the end of May, the Manassas City Council announced tonight.
Hughes served as Manassas City Manager for 13 years before retiring from the post in 2011. In retirement for only a short time, Hughes was appointed interim parks director in Stafford County until a replacement earlier this year.
Hughes appointment comes after current City Manager John Budesky announced he was leaving Manassas to care for an ailing relative.
