Rockeymoore Featured Speaker Jefferson Jackson Dinner

The Prince William County Democratic Committee announces Dr. Maya Rockeymoore, public policy scholar and media commentator, as the featured speaker at the 34th Annual Jefferson Jackson Dinner later this month.

Dr. Rockeymoore’s areas of policy expertise include health, social insurance, income security, education, women’s issues and civic participation. She is the author of The Political Action Handbook: A How to Guide for the Hip-Hop Generation and co-editor of Strengthening Community: Social Insurance in a Diverse America. Dr. Rockeymoore is married to sitting Congressman Elijah Cummings (D-MD).

The dinner will take place on Sunday evening, April 28, 2013, at Foxchase Manor, located at 8310 Chattsworth Lane in Manassas. The Jefferson Jackson Dinner is an annual event held by the Prince William Democratic Committee featuring regional leaders and Democratic candidates for office. The event serves as a fundraiser to support the work of the Prince William County Democratic Committee.
