NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — Fire and rescue crews have been called to a Navy Federal Credit Union branch at Quantico Corporate Center on U.S. 1.
Initial reports indicate a smoky haze was noticed in the building, and the building was evacuated. Crews initially reported seeing no fire at the building.
The credit union sits at 100 Corporate Drive in North Stafford’s tech and government contracting hub outside Quantico Marine Corps Base.
The cause of the haze, and an odor that was reported later, was a malfunctioning air conditioner, saidStaffordfire and rescue spokesman Mark Doyle.
