Woodbridge, Va. — It’s time to put a license on Fido.

Dog licenses in Stafford County are due at Jan 31 and cost $5 for spayed or neutered dogs and $10 for dogs that are not fixed. On their website, the county has listed other dog licensing fees. Dogs must be licensed in Stafford if they are at least 4-months old.

In Prince William County, all dogs must be licensed by Feb. 1. Licenses here are $10 per dog, and dogs that do not have them face a fine, according to county officials.

Proof of current rabies vaccinations are required to obtain a dog license in both counties.
