North Stafford, Va. — One man was assaulted inside of a bar in North Stafford and another is charged in the crime.
A sheriff’s deputy was parked outside Main Street Grill and Bar on Va. 610 about 1:15 a.m. Saturday when a woman told him a friend had been assaulted .The deputy found the 32-year-male victim had been beaten and bloodied, and was coughing up blood, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
The victim told the deputy he had been struck at least three times by a man inside the bar, and victim’s friends corroborated his story, said Kennedy.
Daniel Dasselian, 25, of Paris Lane in Stafford, is charged with malicious wounding in connection to the brawl.
The victim was treated at a local hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening, said Kennedy.
This is the second time in as many weeks police have been called to the restaurant for a report of a malicious wounding.
Last weekend a man suffered non-life threatening injuries when he was stabbed in the hand after getting into an alteration outside the restaurant.
