When speaking to the staff of Economy Party Supplies in Falls Church, we got the low-down on what you’ll be seeing a lot of for this Halloween, and what you’ll be able to pull together in no time.
As expected, the sexier women’s costumes are a big hit for Halloween, and many women will be going in themed costumes in large groups, like the cast of the Wizard of Oz. Another popular option, whether you go more for Dracula or for Twilight, is the being a vampire. This goes for both men and women, but whatever style of vampire you choose; don’t forget to put on those fangs.
Witches whether they’re bad, good or ugly are popular this year and are an old standby if you’re looking for a Halloween costume and are undecided. If you’re the one in the crowd with a sense of humor, then why not pick up one of the funny and highly popular banana suits or gorilla suits? They’re a crowd pleaser and are a way to get the Halloween party started.
Costume shop manager Diane Lake and employee Nina Richards said you last-minute costume options is anything that’s buildable. If you’re meticulous about making sure all of the pieces go together then it’s best to buy your costume ahead of time, but if you’re okay with mixing and matching pieces, then you’ll be able to find a costume last minute.
Pirate costumes are one of the best options for the last minute costume, as many stores carry separate pieces that you can mesh together for the overall costume, including witches and pirate costumes.
