Some snow could be on the way for Prince William County on Saturday.
A winter weather advisory issued for the county by the National Weather Service means the area could pick up at least an inch of the white stuff – the earliest snow in the season for this area since 1979.
While most of the snow, possibly four to eight inches, will fall west of our area and in West Virginia, cold temperatures and heavy rain will also be a part of Saturday’s forecast. That has been enough to cancel some fall activities.
- Occoquan Halloween / Harvest Parade set for Saturday canceled. Trick-or-treat from noon to 3 p.m. still on at participating shops.
- Leaping Leaves Youth Trail Run scheduled for today in Stafford County has been postponed due to the inclement weather. It will now take place on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 9am Pratt Park.
