Prince William County, Va. — New data from the U.S. Census Bureau show the Potomac Communities lie in two of the nation’s richest counties – Prince William and Stafford.
Stafford County is number seven on the list of the top 10 wealthiest counties with a median income of $94,317 while Prince William ranks 9th with a median income of $92,655, according to the Washington Examiner. Census takers examined the median incomes for families in the two counties during the decennial census process last year.
Prince William officials have issued a statement as to why they think their county is so desirable.
Loudoun County tops the list of the nation’s wealthiest counties with a median income of $119,540.
