Pooches Plunge at Veterans Pool

Woodbridge, Va. — Now that summer is wrapping up, the swimming pool at Veterans Memorial Park in Woodbridge went to the dogs on Sunday.

The Prince William County Park Authority held its annual Pooch Plunge at the popular summertime hangout. Admission to the event was $5 per dog with a limit of two dogs per person, and a bag of dog food – because let’s face it: swimmers can get hungry when you get out of the pool.

The pool closed for the season on Labor Day.

When not swimming at Veterans Memorial Park, dogs can come to the park (with their owners) and take obedience classes starting tomorrow at 8 p.m.
