Stafford, Va. –– One man faces charges after claims he had sex with a 16-year-old girl.
The girl is a student at Brooke Point High School who told her friend’s mother she had consensual sex with a 31-year-old substitute paraprofessional who works at the high school, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
The girl had babysat for the suspect while he coached a field hockey team at the high school on the evening of June 27.
Later that week, the suspect invited the girl back to his home to watch a movie and the two had sex, said Kennedy.
After the girl told her friend’s mother about the encounter, the mother called the sheriff’s department.
Christopher Terrebonne, 31, of 203 Hillside Court in Stafford County is charged with indecent liberties with a minor, said Kennedy.
Terrenbonne turned himself into police.
